WIVN Awarded 2012 Community Grant from March of Dimes Ohio Chapter

14 Jan

Women & Infant Vitality Network has been awarded a $30,000 2012 Community Grant from the March of Dimes Ohio Chapter.  These funds will support the Women & Infant Vitality Network CenteringPregnancy Expansion program.  The March of Dimes recommends the CenteringPregnancy model as it has been shown to be an effective form of prenatal care that produces good outcomes and patient satisfaction.  Win-Med – Winton Hills Medical Center, will receive training in early 2012 to offer Centering as their model of prenatal care.  The Med-Peds Department of University Hospital will also receive training to improve interconception care for women and well baby care through the CenteringParenting model.

We look forward to positive outcomes as a result of this investment by the March of Dimes in the expansion of Centering in Hamilton County.
